Let's talk about renderings!

Potential clients ask me quite often about my renderings so, I thought I would take some time out to write about it and explain the differences.

First of all there are three types of renderings we provide. There is a "mood board", a 2-D conceptual design rendering, and a

3 -D conceptual design rendering.

1. 2-D Renderings. They are not drawings created to scale or drawings with dimensions, but are used specifically to create a visual concept of a specific design. The "rendering" or image synthesis is the process of generating an image from a 2D model in what collectively could be called a "scene file" by means of a computer program. Also, the results of such a model can be called a rendering.

2.) 3-D Renderings, which are created to scale with more specific viewing so that clients can visualize the design in a more realistic form from several angles. We use Chief Architect to create our 3-D renderings.

3.) Mood Boards, Mood Boards are for listing or revealing items that have collectively been selected for your design. They sometimes tell a story without visualizing how the item(s) will look in a room or space.
