We had such limited counter and cabinet space so we contacted Melanie Harley to see what she could do. The design she did was amazing. We needed someone to move us out of our comfort zone of beige and it probably wasn't easy for her because we were reluctant to leave that comfort zone but she knew what she was doing and we have a fantastic remodel. "In my opinion, Melanie Harley was born to be a designer. She has not only the credentials to do this profession well but she has just plain natural talent which is necessary to be good at it. Designing presents many challenges that must be overcome. My experience with Melanie was a challenge for her to be able to work with me because I thought I knew something about decorating. I kept throwing my ideas at her and trying to do my own brain surgery. Big mistake! She was able to convince me in a tasteful manner to trust her judgement. She had a total design worked out and I must say I couldn't be more pleased with my living room/dining/office! We are working now on the kitchen. Melanie was patient with me and taught me a lot about color, balance, and many things related to how to achieve the professional designer look that I wanted.
